 The Upstate Schools and Education

When relocating to a new area, perhaps one of the most important decisions you will make is choosing schools and institutions of higher learning. This is crucial not only to give your kids an excellent education, but also in affording yourself the opportunity for advanced learning, enrichment, and career advancement.

 

You will be pleased to know that the Upstate of South Carolina has some of the finest schools anywhere, including public schools, independent and religious schools, as well as plenty of colleges, universities and technical/community colleges. The following is a closer look at just a few of the educational institutions that dot the Upstate region.

 

Higher education

 

In nearby Anderson lies a private university that offers bachelors and masters degrees in more than 50 areas of study. Anderson University is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The growing university is home to about 2,300 students.
