The Triangle North Carolina Healthcare and Medical

Perhaps one the Triangle’s strongest selling points, and one of which you might not be aware, is the quality of its healthcare. Some of the finest health systems in country call this area home, and more than part of the reason for that is the presence of the three research universities – the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Duke University in Durham and North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

So, no matter which part of the region you choose to call home, rest assured that your family will be receiving some of the finest healthcare available.

“We are fortunate to have an array of medical services available to those who live in the Triangle,” said Robert E. Schaaf, MD, president of Wake Radiology. “Major academic medical centers, top-rated regional hospital systems, community hospitals and private physician practices recognized many years ago the importance of being a leader in medical care. These facilities and physician practices have invested in the technology and talent to make sure that this fast-growing region has access to the best medicine has to offer.”
The following are just a few of the fine health systems and specialty clinics in the area.

Durham County

The system offers patients brilliant medicine and thoughtful care through a complete continuum of healthcare services, from primary care to hospice.

Duke University Medical Center—the hub of the system—is consistently ranked among the top 10 healthcare organizations in the country. The youngest of the nation’s leading medical centers, Duke has earned an international reputation for innovation and excellence. With hundreds of board-certified specialists and sub-specialists, Duke can provide expertise in every discipline. Duke operates one of the country’s largest clinical and biomedical research enterprises and quickly translates advances in technology and medical knowledge into improved patient care.
